MyZenfi Privacy Policy

AZ Smart Studios LLC ("AZ Smart Studios", "we", "us"), a limited liability company organized in South Carolina, USA, operates the MyZenfi mobile application ("the App"). This policy explains what information the App collects, why, where it is processed and how you can control it.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address, display name and profile photo URL as provided by Google Sign-In, or the email address and password you register with. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
  • Health profile: sex, date of birth, height, current weight, target weight, target date, activity level, weekly workout preferences, dietary preferences, allergies and disliked foods, as entered during profile setup.
  • Food diary: the foods you log with portions, calories and macronutrients, including the meal descriptions you type for AI estimates.
  • Activity log: workouts you enter manually and, if you allow it, workouts, step counts and weight readings read from Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iOS).
  • Weight history: the weigh-ins you record.
  • Plans: the weekly meal and workout plans generated for you and which items you tick off.
  • Usage counters: a per-day count of your AI requests, used to enforce the daily allowance.
  • Device and diagnostic data: crash reports and basic analytics events collected by Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics (device model, OS version, app version, coarse country derived from IP address). These are not linked to your health data.
  • Consent record: the time you accepted this policy in the App.

3. How we use it

  • To provide the App's features: calorie budgets, diary totals, weight trends and progress charts.
  • To generate estimates and plans with AI (see section 4).
  • To keep your data in sync across devices signed in with the same account.
  • To enforce fair-use limits and protect the service against abuse.
  • To diagnose crashes and improve stability.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

4. AI processing (Google Gemini)

When you ask the App to estimate a meal or to build a weekly plan, the text you typed (and a photo, if that feature is used) together with a summary of your health profile (age, sex, height, weight, goal, activity level, preferences and the progress note you enter) are sent to Google's Gemini models through Firebase AI Logic. Google processes this data as our service provider under the Google Cloud terms. The App sends only what the request needs; it never sends your email address or account identifiers to the model. Results are estimates and may be wrong.

5. Health Connect and Apple Health

With your permission the App reads (and never writes) steps, workouts and weight from Health Connect or Apple Health to fill in your activity log and weight history. Imported data is stored in your account like any other entry. You can revoke this permission at any time in the system settings; entries already imported stay until you delete them or your account. We use Health Connect data only to provide the features described here, never for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties other than the processors listed in section 6.

6. Where your data is stored and who processes it

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication) in the United States (multi-region "nam5"). Google LLC and its affiliates act as our processors under the Google Cloud Platform terms and Data Processing Addendum. Services used: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase AI Logic (Gemini on Vertex AI), Firebase App Check, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics. If you live outside the United States, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States.

7. Retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account in the App, every document under your account (profile, food entries, activities, weight entries, plans and usage counters) and the authentication record are deleted immediately. Residual copies in Firebase backups and crash reports are purged on Google's standard schedules, typically within 30 to 180 days.

8. Your rights and controls

  • Export: Settings > Account > "Export my data" produces a JSON file with everything stored in your account.
  • Correction: edit your profile and entries at any time in the App.
  • Deletion: Settings > Account > "Delete account" removes your account and all of its data (see Delete your account). You can also email azsmartdvlpmt@gmail.com and we will delete it within 30 days.
  • Health data: withdraw Health Connect or Apple Health access in the system settings.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/EEA, the UK, California or other US states) you may have additional rights such as access, portability, restriction of processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise them.

9. Children

MyZenfi is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS, stored encrypted at rest by Google Cloud, and protected by security rules so that only your signed-in account can read or write it. Firebase App Check limits API access to genuine builds of the App. No system is perfectly secure; keep your password private and use a device lock.

11. Not medical advice

MyZenfi provides general wellness information and estimates. It is not a medical device and does not offer medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Consult a healthcare professional before changing your diet or exercise routine, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or a history of disordered eating.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes are announced in the App and the effective date above is updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.

14. This website

This website is a static site hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google). It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. The only cookie it sets is firebase-language-override, and only when you pick a language with the switcher; it stores the language code so that pages can be shown in that language, and nothing else. Firebase Hosting keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested path, browser type) for a limited time to operate the service.
